KW VARIANT 2
The Variant 2 is intended for the driver who requires individual lowering and suspension characteristics. The Variant 2 includes all features of the KW Variant 1 with the addition of adjustable rebound. The rebound damping primarily, controls pitch and roll of the vehicle, which directly influences handling and comfort. The BMW E46 M3 can be adjusted to the needs of the driver, making the ride variable from comfortable to sporty stiff. Adjustments are made with a spindle on the end of the piston rod this means the suspension can stay on the car while tuning. Dampening adjustments don't even require removing the wheels. At the front, controls are situated on top of the strut. Removal of the trunk liner is required to access the top of the rear struts. Adjustments to the ride height requires removing the wheelsof the E46 M3.

The Variant 3 is the top of the line coil-over from KW Suspension. It comes with all features found on the Variant 2. Separate compression and rebound damping options allow a personal set-up of the M3. Compression settings in the low-speed range define the handeling and are adjustable with a valve at the lower end of the damper. High speed settings are preset by KW to guarantee comfort.
